Dr NaMoo Park
Upon completion of his Degree in Dentistry at Griffith University, Dr NaMoo Park provided dental care on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane before relocating to Melbourne.
As a child, he had several experiences at a dentist that left him feeling anxious. He uses this as his inspiration to help change people’s perception of the dentist. He ensures that all his patients receive the most comfortable dental experience he can provide. His philosophy is to put himself in his patient’s shoes. Therefore, all his treatments are of a standard that he would be happy to receive himself. This attitude has helped him win over even the most nervous patients.
He is passionate about dentistry and frequently travels internationally to learn from the best of the best. He is always striving to advance his knowledge.
Besides being experienced in all forms of general dentistry, he has skills in cosmetic dentistry, including more complex dental treatments involving implants.
NaMoo is accomplished in all areas of orthodontics, including the use of Invisalign clear braces. He has been awarded a Fellowship in Orthodontics from the International College of Continuing Dental Education (FICCDE) for recognition of his extensive training.
Dr NaMoo keeps his work-life balance with his rescue dog, Tazzie. He enjoys a wide range of sports and enjoys taking his motorcycle out on sunny days. When the weather isn’t great, he enjoys spending his time in the kitchen, baking the next creation for his family and friends.
Dr Jessica Lu
In 2018, Dr Jessica Lu graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She had previously received a Bachelor of Biomedicine in 2014, also from the University of Melbourne.
During her dental studies, Jessica received many awards. Cementing her top achiever status, she was part of the Dean’s Honours List, as well as receiving the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Academic Prize and the Mervyn Townsend Memorial Prize.
She also travelled to Kampong Speu in Cambodia as a dental student, where she volunteered her skills in providing dental treatment and education to rural residents. Closer to home, Jessica also provided children with valuable oral health education as part of the Teddy Bear Hospital Winter Drive at Chadstone Shopping Centre.
Dr Jessica believes in preventative and minimally invasive dentistry, educating her patients with knowledge and skills to maintain healthy teeth for life. She enjoys helping people feel positive and satisfied with their smile. Jessica practices all areas of general dentistry and is a regular participant in professional learning to keep updated with the latest methods, research and technology.
When she’s not at the clinic, Jessica enjoys catching up with friends over good food, keeping fit at the gym and baking a sweet treat (in moderation, of course!)
Dr Jamie Kang
Dr Jamie Kang is Melbourne born & bred and undertook the Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University as part of the Scholar’s Program. He subsequently completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2018.
Dr Jamie has Cambodian heritage, with both his parents having migrated from there to Australia. Therefore, it was a very fitting venture that Jamie undertook during his dental studies, travelling to Kampong Speu in Cambodia. As part of a community outreach program, a team of dentists and dental students volunteered to provide dental care to people in remote communities.
Jamie knows that some patients become anxious when visiting the dentists. He’s exceptionally skilled in working with these patients to help them overcome their fear. Dr Jamie’s gentle manner makes it easy for his patients to feel as comfortable as possible.
He enjoys practising all areas of dentistry, with a particular interest in root canal therapy and cosmetic dentistry. Dr Jamie is a keen participant in regular professional development courses to keep up with the latest research and technology in evolving dental fields.
Away from the dental chair, Jamie spends his time with his friends playing games, as well as reading epic fantasies. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, going to the gym and watching reality TV shows. Any other downtime Jamie has, he spends watching anime and dreaming about going back to Japan.
Dr Ali Sefidroodi
For over ten years, Dr Ali (Aliakbar) Sefidroodi has been living in bayside Melbourne with his wife, young family and gorgeous Samoyed dog called Bafi.
Dr Ali completed his dental studies at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Teheran, Iran, and was one of the top students in the 2004 graduating class. He was one of the few students to have his work and research on new frontiers in dentistry published in Australian dental journals, and was the recipient of several scholarships in his university days.
He’s a lifelong learner, having completed a two-year mini-residency in orthodontics in Sydney, as well as attending ongoing lectures and hands-on training facilitated by the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry. He’s also attended professional development courses at international venues, including Portugal (All-on-4 dental implant course ) Los Angeles (Soft and hard tissue grafting) and Budapest, Hungary (Advanced Bone Grafting).
Upon moving to Melbourne, Dr Ali spent three years working in community dental clinics in Prahran and South Melbourne, before moving to private practice. With over fifteen years’ experience, he enjoys working close to where he lives, applying his high standards of treatment to all his patients. Dr Ali’s special skills and interests lie in laser frenectomy (treatment of tongue ties), pain relief treatments as well as general and restorative dentistry.
